Choco blast
Chocolate Cakes are the best - easy to bake and children just love it!!
But this time it was cookies - after endless spoilt batches - though edible ones - I managed this recipe which is kind of perfect. Kids loved it, and it was quite easy to make. So, this one has been booked for a repeat for my sons birthday, by him...π
Talking about birthdays - it just came to my mind....what has happened to the phrase - “ 1 was taken by the pleasant surprise”. Well no one wants surprises these days. Everything is so so planned and everyone wants calculated moves.
Isn’t that boring!! Why can’t you leave the gifts as surprise - and why demand something to be given to you as per your list π¬. I mean where is the fun part, the excitement of opening a gift wrap and discovering what the other person has got for you!! Or what the other person has planned for you.
Sulk!! Sulk!! My kiddos are always ready with a list of what they want for their birthdays. Whereas, I think, they get all the things they want, through out the year, unlike us π. Then birthdays should be a surprise thing. Once in a while let others plan things for you.π
I believe, the surprise element intensifies your emotions. Be it any kind of pleasant surprise, It adds the beautiful memories to your relationship. It means, other person cares so much about you, so as to give time and plan certain things for you. I fail to understand this current generation and their fascination for the all the calculated moves!!
Wait a second!!..Sounding like generation gap!!π. Nopes!! It feels as if just yesterday I used to tell my mom - "You don't understand anything, as you belong to a different generation" π
Ohk!! That being that, this thought I would dismiss, as I belong to all generations πͺ ...young at heart forever....and ready to plan as many surprises as I can for my people!!
So, for now, here comes the comphhhlete Choco blast cookies for you all....
240 gms - Maida
1 tsp - Cornstarch
1 tsp - Baking Soda
150 gms - Butter (room temprature)
200 gms - Brown Sugar
1 - Egg
1 tsp - Vanilla Essence
1 tsp - Maple Syrup
220 gms - Sweet Chocolate Chips (Some of them as big chunks)
Add all the dry ingredients, but keep chocolate chips aside in a bowl inside fridge.
Add sugar and eggs together and beat them to mix well. Now add Egg, Vanilla essence and maple syrup. Mix them all well. For adding dry ingredients use a big spoon or spatula. Just fold all the dry ingredients little by little. Finally take out the the chocolate chips and mix with a spoon.
Keep this dough in the fridge for at least 2 hours. It should be firm when you put it in oven. After 2 hours, take it out and roll it in the shape of a cylindrical cutlet. Keep them in standing position on the butter paper for baking. Size will depend on how big you want your cookies to be. I have taken 2 tbsp dough per piece.
Keep the trey in the oven with 180 for 15 minutes π.
Once done, keep them out for 1 hour for complete cooling.
Get set ....ready to hog!!
This is how the dough will look.
